Well, he is bemoaning the fact that he is single and wishes he 'was in love again' even though it is fraught with danger!!! In context it means missing being double crossed by a woman. Although, he is jokingly saying it because he really wants and 'wishes' for all the ups and downs of a relationship again. Cheers Heather ps. typical man, so contrary!!!
