Why are most of the villains in Shakespeare Italian?

Question:Most of the plays' stories are taken from the Italian. Many of them take place in Italy, so not only are the villians Italian, but the heroes as well.

They're not. The villains are only Italian if they play is set in Italy. Which makes sense....why would you have a Danish villain in an Italian play.
