It will be very difficult unless you can find a way to practice it regularly. For that you need a Mancunian friend. But I am pretty certain that if you did speak with a Lancashire accent at some point of time, you will remember the basics. So practice talking with that accent into a tape recorder, and listen to yourself. These things come back, you know.
Good luck with your dramatic production.

I came from 'Leigh'(Greater Manchester) & spent my early Childhood there but have since moved around, all over the country - (tend to have a slight 'Scouse' Accent now, believe it or not LoL). However my Brothers & Sister never moved out of the Town & continue with their very broad- 'Mike Harding' type- Accents ! (Reet Proper !!!!) I find that when I visit them for any length of time i begin to revert back - often unconciously - to my former 'language'! Or even sometimes when i'm very drunk (which isn't often). Hope these pointers help with your technique.
