Position:Home>Theater & Acting> How soon do callbacks usually happen for local theater?

Question:I auditioned for a local production of 'Anne of Green Gables' on Monday and Tuesday night. The director said she'd call by today, tomorrow at the latest.

It's 5:38 where I am now, and no call has come. Would she have most likely called by now if I got a part? You can be blunt; I can take it. =)

If they are interested in you, they will call, if not, they won't call.

Well, it all depends on the circumstances. She sounds as if she is going to call no matter what, so don't worry! BEST OF LUCK!!! :-D

I would not start worrying yet. It can be hard to narrow down the decisions of who you will be calling back and she probably gave herself until Saturday so she could take the time she needed. If you have not heard anything by Sunday afternoon I would assume you will not be getting a callback but for all you know she had a busy day at work today and just couldn't get to it today and needs the weekend to get it sorted.

In the mean time try to distract yourself. It can be nerve racking waiting for a callback and nothing you do now will change the result. I am sure you did the best you can, now just relax and hang in there.

I will hope for good news for you.
