I would check out proscout.com
They have lots of information for you there.
Go to an audition if you get accepted you get to go to the big event! They bring 50 of the worlds top agencys and casting directors to you! They help you get to where you want to be!
If you have any other questions you can email me at bigfootcoocha@yahoo.com

You need to get a monologue and get really good at it then try out for agencys if you don't make the first one try another I'm sure you can get one if you don't give up :]

it depends on what you want to get into
if you want to be in musicals... get voice lessons. even if you don't get some sort of speech lessons will help immensly also, try and get into as many acting classes as you can. it's not neccesary but it looks better if they ask you for your previous experience with acting, also you should go and see some shows, it will help you get a feel of how things are done ummm... you can also brush up on theater terminology it's not really necessary it's mainly so that you know what the heck people are talking about in the theatre... also you should read over some monolouges 'cause 9 time out of 10 when you audition for something you have to read a monolouge

It's good that you have experience. Make a resume listing all of your acting jobs, no matter how small you think it is. Also, find a photographer and get a really good head shot. Other than the resume, the head shot is what attracts agents to you.

To find an agency and photographer, just search for them on the internet or phone book.

Also, agents don't cost a thing. They get paid when you get paid from an acting role. Any agent asking for money upfront is a scam.

Also, it would be good to join a union. SAG (Screen Actors Guild) is usually the one that actors join.
Some people say that you need to join a union in order to be in a movie, but I read in Brian O'Neill's book (Acting As A Business, Strategies For Success) casting directors don't really care if you're in a union or not. If you're lucky enough to land a role in a union project without being in a union, you can earn your membership by having proof you were in the project.

Also, reading books about acting can be really good for you. I really recommend "Acting As A Business, Strategies For success" by Brian O'Neill (A former talent agent). It gives you specific examples of cover letters and resumes. You can buy it here: http://www.amazon.com/Acting-As-Business...
