Good prose piece??

Question:I am on my high school speech team and I am having a hard time trying to find a speech. If anyone has any ideas, please help me!

What you can do is read your favorite book, and take a piece out of it that is the most exciding/dramatic!

does it matter what kind of prose? humerous, serious, or extemporanious? i do that catagory at my school.(extemp.) it's hard but fun. anyways, there are a million. i love the highway man, and stories about people who are terminally ill.(serious) if it's a humerous, I have a lot of favorites, so you could pick from a load of things. If it's extemporanious, then you need to ask your coach, those are usually assigned specifically. hope i helped! good luck!
