Question:I got the part of Marcellus Washburn in my 8th grade play. We havent ad our first practice yet. Anyone wanna describe this guy?

He's a rotund, jolly fellow. Got into a bad line back in the day but now he's playing it straight, got a good girl. He and Harold Hill used to work cons together, and although marcellus won't bust him out, nor will he help him now he's in Iowa.

My personal view, he's chubby but means well and though he is street-wise, he'd rather avoid the streets and live in a rural area.

Marcellus was Harold Hill's side kick. A character role who is very funny
Marcellus Washburn - With the big number "Shipoopi" he must act well, sing well (a character voice is best), and be able to dance.
