Question:im wondering if its bad to settle for a non sag franchised agent? I know they can still get me work if heyre legal and all, but should i hold out for someone who's sag franchised?

ps.... not getting ripped off...listed on the sag website as non franchised. totaly legit

SAG actors can only be handled by SAG franchised agents.

The big thing with agents is that they must subscribe to the Breakdowns and Commercial Ticker, this is expensive and not every agent gets these. These are the life blood for audition.

Also agents can't submit non-SAG actors for SAG casting calls. You must be at least SAG eligible and then be willing to buy your card ($2,500 one payment) if hired ($600 minimum one day pay before taxes and agent fees).
