i dont think you should sing my heart will go on - its so common, mariah carey or miley cyrus. you want to show the director/judges that youre unique and have something. please dont do high school musical - its really too commericial, and isnt a great example of music.

for an alto - i reccomend the song house of healing by liv tyler.

i think these songs are unique and artistic, and more bound to impress them.

i say you should try a slow song or one thats a little slower so that they can hear your voice more properly. cos fast songs dont bring it out.

I know you might not like this person, but it will definitley show the judges and advisors your musical talent. Any Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus song is good. Songs like Start All Over, True Freind, Life's What You Make It, and One In A Million. Please go onto a video site such as google video or youtube and listen to small parts of all of the songs above. If you dont like that kind of song then I can suggest some more. Blister in the Sun by Violent Femmes, and songs like that. but the Miley/Hannah songs really do show musical talent. And they are good for a female alto.
