so....what everyone else has said works very well. what i tend to do at auditions is different though. When you rehearse, rehearse in one spot in a place where you are really comfortable, like your bedroom or bathroom or kitchen. when i practice, i look at what is infront of me and keep that image in my mind and rehearse my song in the exact same spot over and aver again. then, when i get into the audition, i just imagine my self in my comfortable place, and i can imagine everything infront of me. and because i have rehearsed it so much, i know the song inside out. auditioning can be really stressful, but once you get into rehearsals its so much fun and enjoyable.

and make sure to confident, but not cockey(it doesn't sound like you are).

break a leg!!!!

You need to go for it. When it comes time to audition pick a focal point in the back of the theatre and sing to it. No one else is there but you okay?!

You can do it. Everyone gets stage fright. It is a normal thing. Just redirect the energy and use it to your advantage. Get excited about it and go for it.

Alright. Um.. For a show like Cinderella, the best advice I can give you is : audition in character. Examle: if you want to be Cinderella, sing something upbeat and yourthful. Wanna be the fairy Godmother? Something that sounds mremature. An Uglystepsiter? Make it funny.
As for your actual acting, the best thing is to just be trueto your character and don't try to plan your facial expressions in advance. Just go with the flow and let it come to you.
=D!

since its a musical.........when you sing your song you need to be full of life. feel what the character is feeling. if she excited be as excited as you can be- because that wont even be enough you need to just block everyone else out and say OK IM CINDERELLA AND I GET TO GO TO THE BALL. be ecstatic that your dreams come true. and for in my own little corner. shes dperesed and lonely. but then she gets excited when she talks about her imagination. you have to be larger than life. PROJECT YOUR VOICE. otherwise they won't hear how amazing it truly is =)

GOOD LUCK!

I'm 15 and been acting for 5 years in a professional acting school. I used to have the same thing. I reccomend going for it, even if your terrified. The best thing is practice. The only way to get over the stage fright is doing it over and over. It sounds brutal, but it's the truth, if you really want to act. But, for the practising; do it infront of your family and friends. You could then just try it by yourself too. Or get some alone time on the stage.

Good luck !
