Wicked is the best! I've seen it once in NY and once in London. You should definitely see it....beware of SPOILERS here...

The musical ends with Elphaba faking her own death in order to stop the soldiers from pursuing her. Fiyero ends up being the scarecrow because of a spell she put on him in order for him not to feel the torture the soldiers were doing. They re-unite in the end when a bucket of water is thrown on Elphie and she pretends to die. It turns out the wizard is her father, so now he feels regretful that he was fighting against Elphie.

The best 2-girl song as a duet would be For Good. It's the last song they do together. Check out the youtube clip of the original cast members performing it....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFAHcIwY0...

Elphaba is played by Eden Espinosa. Source is below.

What Is This Feeling

If you have the range for Wicked: The Musical, then I strongly recommend 'What Is This Feeling'. The duet is fun and has equal opportunity for both singers as well as a super fun challenge for the two of you. You can find the broadway version at the link below.

As for the second part of your question, who is Elphaba in the current Pantages tour of Wicked. The answer is Eden Espinosa.

Well, I really hate to spoil the ending of Wicked for you as I think you'd love the story as much as the music. Anyway, Fiyero (the scarecow) rescues her and they are happily reunited at last. Glinda goes to the people of Oz to tell them she is now Glinda The Good and will change Oz for the better. Alls well and ends well. Of course my summary is no match to the full experience of seeing the show yourself!

Oh nothing but headache's.
