Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Should I put able to raise one eyebrow under special skills?

Question:Would this make sense for my acting resume, I've seen it on some examples? What other information should I put? So far I have dancing, singing, horseback riding, british accent... is there any other kind of info I could put I might not be thinking about?

Absolutely include that you can raise one eyebrow! Define whether you ride English, Western, Side-Saddle, Bare-Back or all four. There are British accents and British accents -- so define what kind (Queens, Cockney, Yorkshire, etc.) How are you with animals in general? You mention dancing...what kind? Jazz, tap, modern, ballet, ballroom, etc. Have you defined your singing voice - i.e., alto, soprano, etc.? Can you ride a bicycle? A motorcycle? Ski/snowboard? Yoga? Any thing that you might enjoy as a hobby or recreation helps round out your abilites and personality.

yes

At first I thought that it was a silly question, but reading the other's answers, it sounds like it's a good thing? Maybe that's because you can be included in a role that's more mysterious or dramatic. :)

Special skills are just that special!

I've seen many a special skills listed that I thought were interesting and they can add a little humor to what is otherwise a pretty boring resume.

Along with the standard special skills, driving skills, roller skating, dance, and dialact stuff I include proficient pool player, flawless hatwearing abilities, absurdly bad iceskating and terminally upbeat manner.

You never know what skill might come in handy and if it makes the director/casting person smile, so much the better!
