1. What do directors have to go through to become what they are?

2. How do extras get casted?

3. Do most actors/actresses start out in things like drama and stuff in high school before moving on to bigger game like movies?

4. Do you have to be pretty to be a newscaster or actress?? All you ever see is pretty people, it's sort of odd.

1) know people and take up projects on your own

2) there are usually casting calls for extras... you just have to keep an ear out and do some research

3) You can start anywhere to be an actor but it is best to get some sort of training before devoting your life to it. However, being able to do plays does not mean you can do film... they are very different, so try out smaller projects in both and see what you like and what you are good at.

4) Pretty people have the advantage of being pleasant to look at, which is what the business is all about. However, not all people are pretty, and the business is also involved in portraying real people. Some of the most successful actors and actresses are butt ugly, but they are extremely talented at portraying other people. Newscasters may be a different story, because they are just themselves... but for actors, no, i don't think you have to be pretty.

1. years of experience and training.
2. people show up and if the director likes their look, they get the job.
3.yes
4. yes.
