Position:Home>Theater & Acting> What song to sing?

Question:I'm going to audition for a musical at my school. It's the Wizard of Oz. I'm new to it, and i want a pretty good party which I think is possible but I have no clue what to sing. Some of my friends are singing songs from wicked, and annie. I decided I don't want to sing anything from the Wizard of Oz because I think that will make the judges think that I'm expecting to get a good part. I just decided I didn't want to do this, but I do want to sing a song that is impressive to make it sound like the voice of Dorothy. I know that I probably won't get a good part because it's my first time auditioning, but I'd really like to give myself a chance! Thanks!

You could sing Reflection from Mulan. It has a great vocal range.

Lullaby of Broadway from 42nd Street. A very good song...not too high or low vocally! I sang that for my audition and I got in the musical! :]
