I need some audition tips.?

Question:its a closed audition and the musical we're doing is the Music Man. i need some really good tips. i already know, be and look confident, be yourself, project ur voice, and have fun. o yeah and PRACTICE!!! but i stil want 2 make sure if im missing anything. thnx.

Practice saything the adition peice slower than you normaly would, because when you adition, you speed up. It helps, really.

Also, no gum chewing when you pracrice, don't even read it and chew gum, you will get natural pauses in the text that sound wrong.

Also, don't worry of you forget a few lines, just make em up, but make sure they make sence.

juts pretend its juts you there and no one else can see you.
be yourslef and act ! if your don't go your all because you feel silly or nervous or anything you will regret it later !

Always be positive, even if you totally screwed up think to your self "wow that sounded even better" so you will sound super confident.

When you walk in for the audition, if you have a chance introduce yourself to the judges, it will make a great impression that you arn't shy.

If the judges ask you to do anything, don't hesitate, just try it, it shows your willing to try and make yourself better to fit this part.

I just had my audion today and it was my best ever :) just remember dress nice even if no one else does, come early, and pratice in front of friends and family and ask them to give constructive comments. Break a leg;)

Make sure that you practice both your lines and your actions before you try out for the part. Also be sure that you practice in front of a mirror. Act in front of your parents and friends and take the good advice that they give you.

Here are some more audition tips:
-Go with a good attitude, knowing that you may or may not get the part and do your best.
-Really get the feel of the character and get into it.
-Face the audience as you perform and don't be shy about it.
-Pretend no one is watching you.
-Relax and be positive!
