You Can't Take it With You.....play ??

Question:my school is doing this play......im gonna audition for it but i dont want a huge speaking role just a medium or small sized one. any suggestions for a girl character?please i need to know ASAP!! : ) thanks

Essie is a fun part. Candy maker/ballerina. She is about as medium of a part as you're going to get. She and Rheba, the black maid are medium parts. Alice and Penny are leads.

Smaller (one scene only) roles would include:
Gay Wellington, the drunk actress
Mrs. Kirby, rich snob
Grand Duchess Olga Katrina, who is now a waitress.

All the women parts are important. There is a drunk woman who is in two scenes. Do the play because it is very funny .
