How can I accomplish my dream?

Question:My dream is to be an actress, yeah sure like thats going to happen, ive heard it all from my parents, im 18 and im not interested in anything else, I truly want to become an actress, I love it, but my parents never even watched me act or anything they just dont think that I have a shot at it and so i was planning on just saving my money and going out and doing it for myself but I dont know how.... does anyone know how i can get started or have any advice?

If you want something, you go and get it, PERIOD. Do not EVER let anyone tell you that you can't do something, I don't care who they are. I too am an aspiring actor, I have loved film all my life. I recently just got my first part as a lead supporting character in an independant movie. You CAN do it, no matter what anyone says. Just do the research, pick up some books about breaking into the industry, get an agent, and it helps emmensly if you move to an area where movies are a big thing (LA, New York, Seattle, ect...) If you can, take acting classes as well, it helps a lot.

It takes time to become a sucessful actor, but it is absolutely possible if you are willing to do what it takes. Hang in there, do not give up on your dream - if you want this, if you really want this more then anything, you WILL get it. You will have no choice but to go for it, you will never be happy if you don't pursue your passion in life. The best part? If you are passionate and persistent, I can absolutely promise you that you WILL get it. Hey, I am an aspiring actor too, so I'm right there with ya! I know what it's like. You never know, maybe we'll start in a movie together some day!

There's three basic ways

Go to a Community or 4 year college and take drama

Or start working in local theater.

Or moved to Los Angeles (car required) get a disposable job and register with the extra agencies and start doing work (you can also go to NYC and start auditioning for stage).

Study up on it YES you DO need to study. You cant just say I want to act and poof your there! Join a drama club {look for them on hte internet where you live} a theater group {sounds corny but it WILL help} Sing in front of others to get ride of any stage fright, read up on what other actors did and what hteir doing now, there are people who might be looking for new actors near your area or close to it. Get a car or a good bike to go there get a part time job to have money to got there {this isnt giving up its just something to get cash while your not an actress yet} Their not trying to be mean they just dont want ot see you getting hurt they want you to be "realistic" DONT give up! If theres soemthing in life htat your willing to do no matter how many times oyu must try be it 1 or 100 if you never give up or give in youll make it someday. Also get a good lawyer lol. AND remeber just becuse you fail once or twice DONT listen to the "I told you your no good at this stop trying" speech kepp trying and prove them all wrong and dont turn anerxic or something oh and when you do becoem famous remeber me and give me an autogarph!!
