Question:Theater Doc made a good point. You won't know unless you try out for some shows. However, you also need to be able to take rejection. You may not get a good part right off the bat, so don't give up. Take what you get as far as parts go and build experience. If you don't get a part, offer to work backstage. Any experience you can get will help. You may find that you don't enjoy acting, but love the technical aspect of theater. Just make sure you enjoy whatever you do. While learning quickly is VERY good (especially when memorizing lines), it is not the end all be all of acting. Try to soak up as much first hand knowledge as you can. I tell this to everyone, go check out your local community theater. That is the best place to get experience, and see if you enjoy it.
Good luck to you.

learning things quickly is just one aspect of acting. You must be able to convey emotions with your expressions and words in order to be believable and not be afraid of looking like a fork while you are acting. Do an improve skit and you will know what i am talking about.

First of all, whether or not you are a "good" actress means very little in the industry - you have to have technical skill, of course, but you also have to have passion. There's a lot of beaurocratic crap to wade through, and unless acting is what you breathe for, you're not going to make it. Attempting to be an actress just because your parents mentioned it probably isn't going to get you there.
Now, that being said, I do believe that it's healthy for everyone to do at least a little acting in their life, just for the experience. If you think you're interested, audition for a school or community play, or take a theatre class. Who knows? You might fall in love after all.

don't know unless you tryout for some shows, if you do and get good parts then maybe you can

I wont say any one can, but if your try, I'm sure you could, unless your a compleatly unorigonal slob.

One of the hardest things about acting is your voice and your body, Twisted right?
You need to know how you portay emotions and idea with your body, understanding dramatic movment, as boring as it is, will help better yourself on stage.
And, you need to be able to make your self sound difrent, I I don't mean just accents. Every one has a way of talking, and you have to try and change that natural occurance, and make it seem like your not acting. Really hard, practice and lessons.

Being able to think on your feet, or, improv. Play improv games with friends. Don't worry about looking like a fool, thats what acting is about. And if you don't have n idea, don't worry! things come to you if you need it. Plus, improv is fun!

And never chew gum at rehersals! (Big thing!)

Here is just a few things, look into classss of some kind, but quick learning skills and the driev to do it, yea.

But start out in theater, people who start in movies or on tv are never as good.
