Yes, Cosette is a lead. She is the adopted daughter of Jean Valjean, a man who got out of prison. In the play she is first a young child who is abused by a family called the Thernadier's where she has been staying because her mother, Fantine has died. She eventually is taken back by Valjean. Later on, she becomes a beautiful young woman who falls in love with a young man named Marius who she ends up marrying.

She plays the daughter to the protagonist Jean Valjean.

She's also the love interest to Enjolras.

I would say she has a primary role.

She is a lead.

She is the daughter of Jean Viljean. She is also in love with another character. There is a young Cosette who is mistreated by Fantine's (her enemy) mother and husband. Then, she is adopted by Jean Viljean.

Hope that helps!

Same as what everyone else said....

She also is a first soprano and I'm pretty sure has to reach the C above the staff as the highest note....forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm almost positive....It's either that or a few notes higher.

Yes, she is a lead. In the original cast, she was played by Judy Kuhn, who also does the voice of Pocahontas in Disney's Pocahontas. Her voice is like a bell.
