because they are full of misinformation. they wrongly think that they are as good as those they see on tv, they wrongly think that acting is a easy trade, they wrongly think they can find some magicall way to make it without telling their parents, they wrongly think that being famous would be great, they wrongly think that there are jobs for anyone who wants them, they wrongly think that you just hire an agent and he will make them famous, etc etc etc. only those who truly love entertaining and who are willing to take risks and who are willing to work really hard for many years have any chance of ever getting a pro job.

i guess all the money involved in it and maybe no serious education needed to become one

Well i think theres more people that want to become actors!
It's because that little piece of love in their heart wants to be famous like all the other actors they've heared of!

It's like a drug, fame, pfft. You should be acting because you love it! Or singing because you love it! not because you want the money and the fame. They just trail along.

If people actually tried as hard to get where they want then saying i want it i want it. Then they probably could get somewhere!

There are many people who want to sing and act simply because they enjoy singing and acting. However, there are also lots of people who just want to become entertainers for money and fame. I personally love to sing, act, and dance. But I don't want to become a famous singer, even though I love to sing. I guess it just depends on the person....

money and attention!

ok well its because they look up to them and see how glamorus their lifes are (even if thier not)

The same thing those others think about you, if they cant see and hear you singing.
You may sing even on the way to shop, at least me, I wont take it a disturbance.

Well for starters, some people want to be famous and get alot of money. Don't forget to mention all the celeb friends. And some people just like it.

Hope that helps!

Julia

because they want to be on tv and u get payed alot of money

some people do it for the fame and the money.....some people actually do it because its their talent and they're GOOD AT IT!
some people are just lazy and don't wanna work hard and make money by like having a normal job. they think that if they act, they will get a million dollars a month and then they can be famous and have celeb friends and go to parties and live the fraeking good liffe.
but others (like me!) do it because they LOVE it!! take me for example. i'm not famous and a big movie star but when i'm in plays, i feel so happy and i just frwaking love it! its such a great feeling because its just that thing that makes you happy and it makes me feel like i'm awesome!
and you know what? sometimes i'm scared because what if i become an actress and then i get selfish with my money?
most people who actually start out like me and have talent end up like paris hilton who doesnt care about the children in africa or people with cancer and aids.
the second i make a million dollars i'll give 3/4 of it to the people who actually need it
so to answer your question directly, not all people who go into performing arts are the same. some people are in it for the fame and glory and money
but other people like me are in it because its our talent and we love it!!! :D
*best answer plz!!*

many people, especailly little kids, just want the fame and the glamorous life. I dont think they realize that it is hard work and not as glamorous as they thought.....

It's because there is nothing like making the transformation into your character. A good actor/actress does not act their part....they become their part to the point where they can take their character into the real world and be believable. Not to mention there is an unrivalled rush that comes along with preforming.

Because they mistakenly believe that it's the grownup version of being popular in school.

Oh, and because television makes it look like it's extremely easy to achieve success and wealth in any of those fields you listed.

That's about it, really. Affirmation and avarice.

They want fame.

A true actor has a love for the art, and most of the people asking how to become an actor here, just want the money.

I want to be a stage actor if an actor at all. If anything, a playwrite is more my style.
