How is Claire Danz portrayed in the Play Rumors, by neil simon?

Question:My school is doing that play for our spring play. and, we are only allowed to read for 1 person, becasue we have a huge amount of peopel who want to audition, (but we are considered for all) and Im Choosing between Cassie Cooper and Claire Ganz. I seem to be able to portray Cassie very well, but we seem to have the same personality. How is Claire Portrayed, or should I not even worry about it if I seem to be doing well with Cassie?

Acting is about stretching, pick something that is against your style, Cassie is a good part but it is not large she spends a lot of time locked in the bathroom, Claire (I think her last name was Ganz) is lots more fun she is a very high strung, keeping up appearances, upper middle class east coast woman in every sense of the word, Neil Simon plays are lots of fun because they are very close to sitcoms, study Monica and the one Jennifer Aniston played (character name is slipping my mind) on Friends.

More than likely you will be considered for mulitple parts although you only get to read for one, if the director knows there's a Cassie in you he or she is wise enough to consider you for that role as well.
