Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: what is everyones all time favorite musical made?

Mamma Mia!!

Cats :) saw it live... was AMAZING!

im not into musicals that much.. but i know i will get some thumbs down. but the only one i know is high school MUSICAL lol

Dirty dancing or hairspray

Grease

sweeney todd...how else could you sing about killing people?

the sound of music is the best still today

Without a doubt, its the Lion King!
I saw it on Broadway! Wow!
It was breathtaking!

Musical?

well i was in High School Musical Onstage and that was rad. But my favourite musical would have to be...Jesus Christ Superstar :)

Lol i know. It sounds lame but it makes Jesus fun :)

I also really like the new stuff thats coming out, like Hairspray :)

Not that you could really call that a "musical", once Hollywood was done chewing it up and regurgitating a star studded major budget film.

But still great.

I have seen hundreds of Broadway Shows and each and every one is amazing. So - if you want the pick of just one, probably, "A Chorus Line", was the most amazing one to see. I would have to vote it as best soundtrack also.

At the moment, my favourite is Avenue Q.

But I'm off to see the musical version of Lord of the Rings next weekend, so that might change.

i've seen a lot of musicals in my time =)...and i have to admit all the others do not compare to "WICKED" it is the best musical ever, and that is an understatement. the music, the lighting, the acting, the clothes, the dancing, the story line, if you've ever been an loaner or outsider or have had someone tell you can't do something..then you can relate to it a lot, and that's what makes this musical so special more than the rest... a lot of them seem to be to much of a fantasy, even though they have real life story lines, and as much as it may sound like a fantasy it hits really close to home..with lot's of people

The Music Man

Sweeney Todd still ranks as my favorite. Followed by Assassins, Into the Woods, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Time, and The Music Man

Oh man, so many to choose from.

I love "Into the Woods" because of it's overall moral, fantastic songs, and characters everyone knows.

I love "Ragtime" because of its historical contex, fantastic songs, and amazing story.

Also, "Grease" is a classic that all must enjoy.

Show Boat, no contest.

Avenue Q is my favorite as of right now. Before that it was Sweeney Todd. I'm afraid though, that Johnny Depp has made it so popular that people only think of the movie version now.

Sweeney Todd but Rent is up there with cats

HAIRSPRAY, WICKED, RENT, AND LION KIND
