Well, what part are you auditiong for? I wouldn't recommend using a monolgue from the show unless it is asked for. And please tell me that you aren't planning to RECITE a monologue. Memorize it, practice it, and PERFORM it. If you just recite it they're not going to like you as much. And how long does it need to be?

I don't know which specific monologues to recommend since I don't know your age or the character you are going for. If you're going for Zaneeta, try to find a typical teenager one. Maybe Ursula's from Bye Bye Birdie? (http://www.musicaltheatreaudition.com/sh... For Eulalie, do something comedic, for Marian, something ingenue-ish.

Sorry, that wasn't much help, was it?

mmm..
The Music Man is a classic!

try this monolgue....

Marian:

"Even should that happen to be true, does that give you the right to follow me around wherever I go? Another thing, Mister Hill, I'm not as easilly mesmerized or hoodwinked as some people in this town, and I think it only fair to warn you that I have a shelf full of reference books in which may very well give me some interesting information about you."
