I hate to tell you this, but I can't really think of one instance where Juliet is truly 'adamant' about anything in Act 1. When her mother tells her to think of marraige she says no at first, but changes her speech and says she'll think about it... not adamant. Later at the party when she dances with Paris then meets Romeo, I still can't think of one thing that she is 'adamant' about.

Is it too late to change your word?

good luck,
Marianne

She was adamant about her infatuation with Romeo even when warned he was the enemy of her family. You should have picked star crossed.

Oh... Romeo, Romeo

Go to this site http://shakespeare.mit.edu/romeo_juliet/ and look at scenes 3 and 5, where Juliet speaks. You may have to read quite a bit more to understand what she is saying.

Hint: The definition of adamant
