Position:Home>Theater & Acting> What should I do about this guy in my Symphony?

Question:Ok, so there's this guy in my state's Junior Symphony. We practice for hours every Saturday; he plays cello, I play flute. They always break up the practices into Winds and Strings. I want to be able to talk to him more at practices. What should I do?

You could possibly talk to him about his cello..you could say something like "wow it's so big..or just compliment it and then be like..i've always wanted to try the cello..(even if you don't its a good conversation starter) is it hard to play.."
or even something like "where did you get it" and then see what happens.

Even talk to him about the latest piece of music your playing and learning.

Although you can't talk during practise..you could try before when everyone's arriving and then when everyone is setting up..and then even after when everyone's packing up and waiting to get picked up.

Hope this helped...and good luck!

Talk to him before or after practice. If I'm not mistaken, during practice your lips and attention should be occupied.
