Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Finding an acting agent in the UK?

Question:I went to drama college about 14 years ago (I had to put my acting career on hold due to family illness etc) and attended the NYFA recently and am now looking for an agent. Can anyone recommend good agents who take on 'new talent' - I don't really want to spend more years at drama college but am looking for TV/film work. I am a talented actor, but have the common issue of 'how do I show this to potential agents' to even get listed with them. Also, does anyone know of any student film making courses where they are looking for actors for student films - I thought this might be a good way to build more experience.
It is time for me to follow my dream - I know it is a challenge and I would really appreciate some good advice - thank you

Film/TV schools include:

Hope this helps.

get yourself an agent, and basically, get acting. do anything you can do, if you don't want to do amateur plays then get extras and advertising work just to get 'working'. Go to as many auditions as you can find and don't give up. I'm 35 and only finishing my training now and i've been advised just to throw myself into whatever work i can get to start, and build up my contacts. good luck,
