What do you have to do to be an actress?

Question:So i am BIG on acting, i've been doing it since i was born. You know, school plays, class skits, stuff like that. Well now i'm in a vocal ensamble(serious stuff) and i've gotten compliments from people who see alot of acts. I'm only 13 but i really want to act profetionally (like shows and commertials) what can i do to start my career? {please exuse my spelling!}

Well you basically have to move to LA or NY to find an agency. Thenthey refer you to a place to take head shots and create a resume. Send them out to agents and see if you get any auditions to book one. Then if you actually get an agent what they do is send out your resume and headshots to see if they can get you an auditions.
You can also check out open auditions in papers such as Backstage West, which is a great subscription to have if you're interested in the business.

ok you have to be up to doing anything be crazy at school or collage or work very hyper memorize lines from movies practice different voices and also join anything that has to do with acting

there are audition callings in the newspaper sometimes

You Have to have a Back up. A very strong one. Well, I guess you should get Headshots and call agencies but know that if it doesn't work out it is okay and you can do something else!

go to auditions for plays around your shire but don't forget ur academic performance thats the worst thing you can do because if u dont get ur big break you will end up bein a check out chick forthe rest of ur life!!!

To be an actress, u should have no stage frights,
Always express ur self!
When u want something ,go get it!
I mean it's ur dream! No other person can stop from doing this!

I'll answer to you truthfully. To become pro you need to be very beautiful... Or A VERY good actress.. Try to get a "agent" To look for some parts for you, Higher someone to see if they can get you a shot

Try to enter the drama club and be in plays. Make your drama teacher notice you. Try to join a group of actresses to perform for schools. Maybe you should try modeling to get noticed. Take a trip to Hollywood, they have a lot of stuff to try out for. Maybe you should be in a band. Try to get an agent.

Get representation union or otherwise first off.
Next get as much of a library of work on tape as possible.
Constantly review your own work.
Get your self to as many auditions as possible in as vast a territory as possible to build some recognition.
Knock over a liquor store to build your street cred...err wrong profession sorry.
If not already in a school get started taking classes so you can hone your craft and network with others.
If your attractive do some modeling on the side (but only with what your comfortable in! if you go to far down the modeling ladder they won't take you seriously)

go to lots of auditions!! or even hire yourself a reputable talent scout/booking agent.

Get an agent. Go to lots of auditions. Never give up. Have fun. And love what you do :) Remember, it's an extremely hard business, you will most likely get rejected on a daily basis, so get ready. Other than that, I can only say good luck.
