Question:I really want to get into modeling or acting
Ive taken the grade 5 duet LAMDA exam and passed with merit, which is GCSE standard and i am only 13. Also the end of this year im hoping to take grade 6 (bronze medal) which is A level standand, and i will be 14. Also I am really interested in modeling. It looks fun , but i am well aware of what some models do and of i do get the chance to be a model i would be responsible and i wouldnt go crazy.

get an agent in the yellow pages or you can start to go on Go Sees

go see------ where you go to random modeling agencies and audition to model for them

if you get rejected a few times...I would recommened taking modeling or acting classes to improve you skills..

wow..all of this info from a 13 year old

you and the rest of the American female youth.. i would be soo amazed if you said you wanted to be an engineer

you have to find an agent

call modeling agencies

If you're in London, look on google for "Sylvia young theatre school", that does young talent and they put actresses and actors from very young up to eighteen onto things like Disney and ITV. Good luck, and try not to show too much when modelling.

Go to website Brenda Rawn and they will post your claim for fame.

To become a model, make sure you try to enter a contest, or go to American Idol for props so people will know your dreams and stuff. Also, to become a model, you have to be the age of 17+. For acting go to a Performing Arts High School. They have auditions often for plays and other activites.

Visit the websites for the likes of Storm, Models One, Premier etc. They are always looking for new faces. Just fill out the application forms on their websites and do some basic photo shots.

I think the first thing to do is realise that you will still have to keep up an education, and that it is something you have to be willing to work hard at and juggle with education, and also that there will be alot of let downs in that business, which you will have to learn to shrug off and not take personally, but to come back stronger if this is what you want to do.

That aside, I think for modelling you will need to find a reputable photographer, and always take a parent of guardian with you, this way you can build up a portfolio. I would suggest phoning a reputable modelling agency and asking them to recommend one, this may cost a bit more, but you will know they can be trusted. Once you have a portfolio you can then ring around the modelling agencies who are well known and ask them how you would apply to go on their books, as I guess each as their own agenda.

As for acting, try looking for a scholarship, Sylvia Young offer them, but if lucky enough, there are things that the scholarship will not cover, which means your parents will have to pay, or you will have to help around the house or do other jobs for them to earn the money from them ;)

In the meantime practice all you can to family and friends, take singing lessons if you can ( if you aren't a natural) as they will go by talent first and foremost, but mostly have fun! Hope all goes well for you.

check out barbizon for modeling.

for acting. start attending plays, aand if your school has plays, audition, and dont get discouraged if you get techie, everyone has to start at the bottom
