Okay, so, first you need to find a local theatre!
Start auditioning. And get into some plays!
You're going to need lots of credits for your resume so it's good to get started now!

Then after doing this for like a year, doing some classes and camps, and theatre. Put it all down on your resume.

Now get some pictures taken of you, make them very professional looking. Don't pay fo rreal ones yet.

Then find an agent, or agency that lives in your area. Send them you resume and headshot stapled together with some contact information.

You're going to need an agent for anyt ype of audition basically. Unless it's an open casting call.

E-mail me if you have any more questions!
Good Luck!

well they have auditions every now and then. Just wait until you hear one and go to the audition.

Take some acting classes, get into your local drama dept at your school, and try out for plays! Talk to actors around your age locally and see how they got in...

First you should do some school plays or something and after that if you go on google and look up tv auditions or movie auditions, there will be a bunch of sites with places and such about auditions for the movies/tv shows

Go to acting classes or get an agent
Hey, Im 12 and 13 this year and everyones telling me to focus on school so I have a back up in case I dont make it
but I really love acting too.

take some drama classes in school. or get in to theater doing plays some great actors got noticed in a play. The other way is to get pictures taken of you 3 head shots and 3 full figure ones with three different poses and looks. one each has to be black and white the other in color. You will need them for try outs for plays and or TV commercials. Since your transportation is probably limited right now.start with school plays and take drama classes. and continue with that in college. you have to 100% dedicated to it and never get discouraged. There will be some nos said to you and you will get some yeses so patients is a must for this type of work.

Start out small then work your way up! Like, do some plays, then look for a roll. practice, practice, practice! GOOD LUCK

Join a amature drama group?...and work youre way up....or join an agency that handle "extras"...etc...because to get an "Equity" ticket?...you need to have experience and to get experience?...you need an Equity ticket????....catch 22 refers...

This question has been asked so many times.
Have a look at this page link on my site for new and aspiring actors. I'm sure you will find a lot of helpful information. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_... . In particular look at the pages that have to do with the things you can do to get started and how to get an agent. But start taking some classes. When it comes to getting an agent, if you don't have much experience, they will look at how much training you have and for some it might be important with whom you have trained.

Ahh, the common question. First things first. Why didn't just look up this question? because it's been asked like a million times.
To act professionally you should get and agent. BUT before you can do that you have to build a resume. Get yourself involved in as many things as you can (handle). Look you auditions, open calls, community theatre, school plays that you can get involved in. The experience you get, the better off you are. Also visit this site it gives phenomenal advice for starting an acting career.

So once you have a fairly decent resume, then do some agent shopping. Look up agents in your area and do a mass mailing of your resume and headshots to them. Don't expect reply from all of them, actually you'll probably only get a 5-10% response. Then follow up with those agents. The web site above will tell how to do this.

Once you've signed with an agent, you'll need to contact them on a weekly basis and ask for something new. Don't think of it as annoying, it shows your desire to work and that you're serious about your work. Also tell them abot any new jobs you've booked or auditions you've come close to getting. they like to know that you're doing well.

Good luck with everything!

Everyone skips the most important thing. If you are going to be an actor before you are 18, you will need your parents' support. I think it would be best for you to stick with the school plays and look for a summer acting camp to start. For more info, read my profile and write me at my aol address.

Every second you should be doing something towards getting there, dont give up hope no matter what any one else says... Theyre will always be people that judge your work and think it is no good or just ok, ignore them... stay confident! Law of attraction think positive,, If you want to be an actress you cant have a backup plan! actors are born to act, nothing else watch my videos on youtube mena5558 is the nameo n there
