Landslide from the dixie chicks. It's a pretty good middle song to sing.
Try that one :D

The Bear necessities
Zipp-a-dee-do-dah zipp-a-dee-day
supercalifragilisticexpealidous
God rest ye merry gentlemen
Feliz navidad
America America the beautiful
National anthem
teenager in love
i'm not gone a take it
have a holly jolly christmas

Pick songs you like. If you enjoy singing them just to sing them instead of for memorization then memorizing it will come naturally. I don't know what kind of songs you're thinking of but as far as Broadway goes you might want to try On My Own and I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables or I'm not that Girl from Wicked (That one has a pretty low note at the end though) those are all pretty medium alto if you want to hear them try going to projectplaylist.com they have a bunch of full length songs that you can listen to. You could also try some songs from Chicago (the musical not the band) if you can find something appropriate. They have a lot of songs in that range. Just make sure it's a song you can enjoy singing and listening to a lot.

Try these:

Think of Me from The Phatom of the Opera
Part of Your World from THe Little Mermaid
Memory from Cats
You Were Meant for Me by Jewel
Have You Ever Seen the Rain by C.C.R.
100 Years by Five for Fighting
Touch Me in the Morning by Diana Ross
Edelweiss from The Sound of Music
Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton
Notice Me, Horton from Seussical

Try searching for musicals.
you'll be surprised what you find.
You might try the song "Happiness" from the musical "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown"
it is a tear jerking song.
I almost cried the last time I had to sing it.
