I was extremely shy when I was in school. When I was 17, I went to college & made a concious choice to be more outgoing. I wish I had done it sooner. This is what I did:
-Start initiating conversations.
-Ask questions in class & make comments when appropriate (even if it is an obvious one). The main point is not gathering information, but overcoming a fear of speaking out.
-Volunteer for anything that makes you have to talk to people.
-Basically, speak out every chance you get.
-And, of course, if it is possible, take acting classes @ your school, the YMCA, or anywhere else that offers them.

You can overcome shyness. I know because I have done it. I still get nervous in front of crowds if I don't psych myself up for it.

go to a counceler :?

take acting classes, join the theater club, the only way to be an actress is to learn how to act

try to things for family, friends, class, and then the school

Join the drama club and other clubs in your school and learn how to relax speaking in front of people. Good Luck!

try acting in front of your family and friends first and then join an acting class for beginers an see where that takes you good luck x

Many actors and rock stars are shy, but it's totally different when you get on stage. Take a deep breath and go for it!

memorize a poem or a speech from a play and practice it for friends, family, classmates.

Show a way to express yourself.
Dance freely
sing real loud
go crazy
and get the shyness out....
