Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Acting schools and camps?

Question:does anyone know of any good acting schools and or camps on the East coast that have really good finacial aid or scholarships? I love acting. It's my dream to be on the stage. Not to be famous, not be rich. i get that I most likely will never reach that. that doesnt matter to me. (esspecially right now. im thirteen) but i do dream of being on the stage. I want to preform. And i know an acting camp or school would be great for me. I'm dying to learn more. my best is never good enough for me. I thriving for acting knowlage.

the only thing is money is a little tight around my house right now. i feel terrible asking my parent for money to go to the movies, let alone an entirely different camp or school. but i know that they want me to follow my dreams. and i know they'd let me if i could find a way withoutdenting their wallets...

thank you so much for helping me reach my dreams.

There's Long Lake Camp for the Arts. A friend of mine was a counselor there and said it was a great place. I don't know about them, but most camps have some sort of scholarship program.

Good luck and keep the dream. I know for a FACT that you can have a great time being on stage and participating in local community and professional theater without having to worry about "your big break" or trying to be famous. Just do what you love and you'll become really good at it!

Check online for theaters near you and usually they offer various types of camps and workshop also classes that you can take to improve your technique and uausally your instructor and theaters can help you find agents. :)

Most major camps provide financial aid, find a camp you like and don't be afraid to ask!

Also try googling US performing arts camps. If that's the right title, they offer serval summer workshops/camps around the US.
