How can I get onto tv?

Its not just about being in plays to put on ur resume, then sending it off to a casting agency, then being on tv. NOOO WAY!! You need way more than 5 things. Probrobly more than 20! You also need to be willing to travel-probrobly every week or so-to movie auditions and such.
First step: Get a head shot. Not really a shot in ur head-just a PROFESSIONAL pic of your shoulders up. It gives casting crews a general pic of wat u look like, and if u would have a chance to play the role.
Second step: RESUME! You need as much as you can get. There is no specific number, but keep in mind the more the better-they only want professionals. 5 plays will get you absolutly no where. Print ur resume onto the back of ur headshot.
Third step: Find a reliably agency, and send them an email saying that you are interested in becoming a "casting Professional" If they are interesed in you, then you can send them your headshot w/ resume on back. If they think you might have any chance, they will take you in. This is your agent.
Fourth step: Wait. It is all about waiting. Your agent will contact you if there is an audition that you would be interested in. It might be a movie, or it might be a commercial. You never know. It might be in Africa, or it might be in your city. Once again, you never know. YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO TRAVEL. You go and try out for the movie or tv show etc. then wait and see. If you get the part your agent will notify you again, and tell you everything you need to know.
It is actually a very hard job. Not many people can handle it. If you are serious about it, you have to REALLY be serious, and strong. You will get knocked down, and trampled on by SOOOOO many people, but you have to get back up, and get your face out there. Good Luck!! Maybe one day we can be in a movie together ;D

Go to casting agencies in your town and they will help you find an agent and tell you what to do to be successful!!!!
