Does getting an acting degree help you become an successful actor?

Question:i want to be an actor and i want to know if i get a degree in acting does it help me become a successful actor ??? if so how does it and can i get jobs other then acting with a acting degree?? if yes please name some.

You may not have to get a degree in acting to become a better actor. Just take some acting classes. Unless your really serious about your craft go to a conservatory. You would gain experiences and receive constructive criticism from your professors. They will help you became aware of your body, your voice, and become a character. Also keep an acting journal of all you characters. Do a character analysis on your character by asking questions like; what role does your character play? who are you related to? what would you do to get what you want? and even silly things like what's your characters favorite foods because in actuality if you truly were that character and that character was you, you'd know what your favorite food was. Consider a degree in theater or a BA.

Yes it does, I know because my mother is an actor... im not gunna lie, at first she wasnt really good, but when she went to acting school she got better.... it teached her how to act a LOT better... you could see more emotion in her and everything when she acted... so i think you should go to acting school...
