Acting Career question, People who know ANSWER PLEASE!!?

Question:Ok.

i am 15 have some experiance in theatre, mainly plays,dance ect.. and i want to be an actress and i plan on going to university after that or during uni i plan on getting an agent (20..) and then planning on going 2 america NY to start a carrer fully. otherwise LOndon...

am i leaving everything too late?
What do i nee to do more?
All these people here want agents now (13..)
how can i at least try to secure chances of making it?
Anything of this nature advice much appriciated!

Well im quite surprised because im familiar with your answers all over the acting area on yahoo answers and they are very good!

These days soo many people want to become actors and actresses that the chances of getting roles are very slim!

My advice to you is if this is truelly your dream then of course you must follow it.
But if or when you do move, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP!!!

You have always got to have that second job because the money for small shows and movies aren't very good unless you are the star! So you've got to get your money somewhere else!

You're not leaving everything too late, you're leaving now because you feel ready to leave! It's all based on how you feel.

To secure chances of making it, get out there and talk to as much people as possible! Pile up those credits on your resume! and get to know the people that have contacts and will help you on your journey to becoming an all time NYC actress :D

You added some details so i'll just add on to mine. You can NEVER be to old to start acting. In every movie there is a character with a different age. So it can alway be you! or some other person.

In other words, go out there and get that agent, the older you are makes no difference from the talent you have!

I also really want to become an actress, but the reality of everything is that atleast 90% of actors/actresses do not have a good job. There are only a few famous stars and there are so much people who want to become actors/actresses, so the chances of you becoming big are minimal. However if you love to do this, then go for it. In my opinion I wouldn't do what you are doing right now. I would go for a god paying job like a doctor, etc. and do acting in my spare time. That's what I decided to do so that I won't become unsuccessful and have no money.
Think about it.

You can never rush your dream! I am too looking into an agent and I'm 14! There is never such thing as TOO much experience! Keep doing what you love and act! If you can get an agent now! Then come to NY when YOU think YOUR ready!! Cant wait to see you on Broadway!!
