Broadway tickets?

Question:i want to buy a gift certificate to a broadway show. i dont know what they want to see or when they will be in new york so i thought a certificate would work the best. there seems to be alot of choices, broadway.com, ticketmaster, etc. does anyone have experience with this?

i like to buy gift certifcates from TKTS the 1/2 price ticket booth in times square that way they can pick from what ever is up on the day they go. you ca buy then on line from the theather development fund web site. there good for a year after purchase.
