Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Is legally blonde the musical worth seeing?

Question:I don't think you have to be in a sorority to enjoy the show. You might be able to relate to it more, but it's not a requirement.

Legally Blonde consisted of what I thought to be a perfect cast, great music and dancing, and great energy.

I have to say, you should go see it before more of the original cast leaves..particularly the key ones..(and Tony nominees) Laura Bell Bundy, Christian Borle, and Orfeh. They were all fantastic. Kate Shindle (Miss America 1998) is also one to look out for.

I bought my ticket from tkts, it was $66 and definitely worth it. It was a great seat. It was actually just worth seeing Laura Bell in "So Much Better." I also waited outside the stage door and met most of the actors!

I never would've guessed that Legally Blonde the Musical would be one of my favorite shows ever. When I first saw a poster for it, I was probably thinking, What the hell is that? The set does not look low-budget at all. Granted, it's no Wicked set, but there were great stage changes.

To answer your question, yes it is! Go to TKTS.

not that great

I didnt see it on brodway. but MTV taped the brodway show and aired it. the music was pretty bad. the opening number, all it consite of was 4 minuted of OMG! and oh mygod!

there were some cute funny bits, but over all it wasnt anything i'd pay big bucks for.

i'd spend my money elsewhere

Avenue Q
Beauty and the Beast
Chicago
Hairspray
The Lion King
Mamma Mia!
The Phantom of the Opera
Rent
Monty Python's Spamalot
Wicked

are some popular shows right now!

good luck and have fun!

You should see something of substance. MTV played Legally Blonde The Musical in full length. You might be able to catch it there. From what I saw it was pretty horrible. And even though they probably spent millions on it looks fairly low budget.

Yeah, it's adorable, I saw it in August. It's not a deep musical, not really life-changing or anything, but it's a great night out. It's kind of a nice way to forget about your stresses for a few hours, or to have a girls' night. Go see it, you won't regret it and the singers are fantastic!

If you were ever in a sorority, you'll love this show.

I thought it was cute, had it's good points, was painful in other parts, had a good cast, and was all around a fun show. But if I was going to NYC right now, it would not be on my list of shows to see.

It really depends on your preference.

Do you want to watch a dramatic show or a light comedy? Have you seen the movie and did you like it?

I enjoyed it, to tell you the truth. It's funny and Laura Bell Bundy & Christian Borle are great actors.

It's a perfect stress reliever.

I've seen the show on MTV and I've seen it live. I'd definitely watch it live, if I were you. I enjoyed the dancing too.

And contrary to what the others think, there are songs that are great.

If you really love the theatre, go watch Legally Blonde, you won't regret it.

If you're not much of a theatre enthusiast, just wait for MTV to air it or go listen to the soundtrack. Then watch something else.

If you like drama: The Phantom of The Opera and Les Miserables (closing on January 6)

Comedy: Spamalot, Young Frankenstein

For Adult/Mature Audience: Avenue Q, Spring Awakening

Dra-medy: Wicked

For families: The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, How The Grinch Stole Christmas

not really. i wouldn't want to pay 200 some bucks to go see it. like others said it was shown on MTV that's the best way to see it. it does have you singing "Ohmigod you guys" for a while but by the next day you forget it. Broadway shows just aren't like that, they should be stuck in your head for at least a week. Legally Blonde is just easily forgotten. it's not that it wasn't performed well it just doesn't click.
