Question:There is what is called being 'PHOTOGENIC' .Most actresses are and that's why successful. I know of many girls who look stunning in photographs and videos but real Janes outside. In the novel Queenie( about the heroine of The Benhur ,Haya Harareet) the heroine as she goes outside on her own one day muses and wonders how many girls on the street were far more beautiful than herself!With due respects and paying rich tributes to their adept makeup, acting prowess and the magic weaved by technicians, Rekha, Vanisree of South of yester years ,Madhuri Dixit may not turn heads and infact not even looked at without makeup off the screen.Jayaprada who enchanted even the great Satyajit Ry, RamyaKrishna are a few exceptions .Super star Rajnikanth who simply stuns you even if he walks across the screen stuns you with his nonlooks off it! May be they are blessed and destined to become what they were/are.

There are original i.e natural beauties and artificial beauties are in the cine world. As per old saying' all that glitters are not gold`.

Definitely not, however, majority of them are beautiful. Unfortunately, very few beautiful actresses have been talented as well. The combination of beauty and talent has been rare, but very powerful and undoubtedly successful.
