How do I format a stage play?

Question:My local theatre are looking for stage plays and I would like to adapt my short screenplay into a stage play. Screenplays and stage plays are very different in format and I have no idea how to format the play! Can anyone help?

do a web search for how to type a play script or get a copy of Playwriting by Grebanier or Louis Catron's book on how to write a play which both have the format in them.
