Position:Home>Theater & Acting> How can I exchange my ticket to a Broadway show?

Question:I have a single ticket to a Broadway play tomorrow night, which I ordered from Telecharge online, but I'm feeling really under the weather and may be too ill to attend. I know the tickets always say "no refunds or exchanges" but I think it's unethical to be forced to give up the money for illness out of my control. I'm dying to see this play but I just might have to come at a later date...any suggestions?

You can go to the box office and explain your situation but there is a good chance they will be unable to help you out. If the show is a high in demand one you may be able to sell it on Craigs List of ask a friend to stand in front of the theatre tomorrow night and try to scalp it for you. But individual tickets are often very difficult to sell. Do you have a friend who would be willing to buy it from you? If you get stuck with it you could always get really into the holiday season and give it to a friend.

Good luck and I hope you feel better!

No exchanges means just that. Try selling it on creigslist or somewhere. Feel better.

You can go to the box office of the theatre and ask for an exchange. I doubt they will allow it, no exchanges means no exchanges, but you never know.
