Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Is It More Important To Show Personality Or Talent When Auditioning For Disney?

Question:Nooo! I"M NOT ONE OF THOSE I"M GOING TO HAVE MY OWN DISNEY SHOW PEOPLE. But I Am Sending In For Some Roles And I Would Love To Land Them For The Air Time, Experience, The Fun And The Laughs. Plus If I Get This Press It Might Get Me Noticed For Greater Roles. I'm 14 And Looking Into A New York Based Drama Career. However I Live IN Melbourne. I'm Going TO Newyork For A Long Time And I Know All About Disney. The Actings Not All That Great On That Channel I Know But The Personality Is DEFINITELY There. So I Was Thinking Maybe If I Was To Show A Fun Side More Than A Professional Side, Would That Get Me A Better Bet For Landing Some Roles On The Network?

I'm not sure what is required to audition, but I would try to show as much of both as possible. If you send samples of yourself, try showing a more serious role and then a goofy role or a silly character. In your headshots, include a serious pic and some more laughable ones. You want them to take you seriously but you want them to see that you can make kids laugh. I would focus on knowing the lines and then adding as much personality to the characters as possible. I hope that I could help ( : Merry Christmas, remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!!!

Show spirit and personality and good luck and remember my name Eric Duffy So I can be your friend when you make it big :) insider (I'm 14 and working my way to the top too)

What is UP with all the 14 year olds on Yahoo Answers, who are convinced they're going to make it big on the Disney Channel?? Can I give you some advice? Stay where you are. Get some experience. Have a childhood. Then when you're ready and mature, pursue whatever dream you may have. I sometimes regret not starting younger, but then I think of how much I cherish my childhood, and I know now that it was worth the wait.
