Oh my word. we're doing Titanic?

Question:Our high school musical is Titanic. And, I want to know who the lead male character is. And what are some good audition songs for that musical?? Help??

for men you might look at the Captain E J Smith, or the ship's designer Thomas Andrews. Those two, in my mind, would be the male leads. Isidor Straus has a nice song with his wife Ida as the ship is going down.

If you don't want to sing from the score, you might look at Grand Hotel, which has the same composer.

i saw it on broadway many years ago. i wasn't impressed. from what i remember, the captain was the main character. i don't think there was a "jack and rose"
