First, you need to get focused and get serious! If you say you love Broadway, that's not the same as saying you would love to BE in a play on Broadway.... A lot of people say they love to be or do this thing or that thing. But as time goes on, they fall by the wayside.. So, drop choir, unless you are getting some real singing lessons and find yourself a singing coach. Next, you need to be in acting class and have your mind wrapped around acting 24/7. Start by building a net work of like minded people who want to act "ON BROADWAY. Start saving at least four months worth of cash for your move to NY, have a car, a cell phone and a place already picked out to live BEFORE you go. Go to the library and empty the shelves on every thing you can find on acting "FOR STAGE" and get involved in any and all types of acting Op's you can find in your local area...

In about a year, if you can get all this together and are still "IN LOVE WITH THE GREAT WHITE WAY" by then, you will be on your way to making your dream come true.... At least you'll be able to start out with the deck stacked in your favor...

As I have said to everyone, there is no substitute for doing the "Work." Stop by my actor's home page and take a look at what I've done so far to build my career. You can do the same thing!

Best of luck.....

Practice man, Practice

well if a musical you have to be a triple treat.... be able to sing, act and dance- like really good. if ur in a play then you have to be able to act extreamly good... this may seem very obvious, but some people don't realize just how good you have to be.

By 10th grade you should have a vocal coach

and defintally looking at art colleges or universities that have good theater programs....

also make sure your in your school musical/ plays and even some community theater...

make it your new years resolution!

Head south on 6th ave from Central Park you'll eventually cross it

Gain more skills and develop a portforlio of what you did.
Audition for roles in plays and back up vocals (always start with something that is not difficult like supporting roles or minor parts in plays rather then main major roles) this will develop and extend your talent as you gain more experience from acting and singing.
When you got a perfect portfolio and alot of skills then go for the major roles. At this point the director of the play will recognise that you have many talents. They hate little or talentless people but loves those you tries.

Remember everytime you don't get the part you auditioned for, don't be down about it but keep trying for other roles. Confidence is major part in the Broadway!!!!!!!!!

Practice, practice, practice!

If you want to be a professional dancer on the Broadway stage, you must study ballet, tap and Jazz, until you can't dance anymore.

Dancers at our Talent Agency, had strong Broadway belt voices, as well as, great leg extensions, for dance.

If you are not currently studying dance, find a class and enroll, it will be of great benefit to you

It is extremely difficult to get into a Broadway show. There are very few of them and they use only the very best people. A young person wanting to be a Broadway actor needs to do all the theatre, music and dance they can all through school and when they graduate attend one of the special schools that train musical theatre actors. Then they need to go out and get more training and practical experience and eventually an agent and hope for the best.

just act like your self and it depends on age
