Question:No, you are never too old. Especially if you are looking to begin with extra work. Many TV shows and films need people of all ages and looks. There are millions of young people who think they can be the next big thing but brave people like you will be higher in demand because there are less older people trying to break into the field.

Heavens no! Just one example: Jessica Tandy was an actress until her mid-80s. Her roles in the last 20 years of her life (which includes Driving Miss Daisy, Fried Green Tomatoes and Cocoon) are probably her best known.

No way! You can act no matter what age. All shows need people of some age to try out. Look at Ashley Tisdale she's like 22 and she plays a teenager on the suite life of zack and cody. You can make yourself look younger with makeup if you want with theatre anything is possible. Trust me I know. That's also a good idea about the extra thing. Work your way up. That's what my friend Julie is doing. She is an understudy for one act play and she is new to acting. If you want to you could take a few classes and it could help. But anyways you are never too old to act. There are meany proffessional actors that are quite old. Angelina Jolie's dad acts in National Treasure as Nicholas Cages' dad.

It's never too late to do anything in life. I've always said to be a great actor it takes a strong fondess for challenge and an incredible amount of enthusiasm and desire for acting - sometimes help from a great director.

Acting doesn't require any special natural ability for achievement or success, and surely some of the most prominent and naturalistic performances to ever grace the screen were from that of people without an acting background. Perhaps you should join a theatre group. But most importantly, act because your impassioned to act.

Being an extra is not exactly acting. What you should do is audition for a community theatre near you and see if you have any ability as an actor. One of my students just did his first play since his school days, he is in his thirties and really excited about his future. Another of my students is 35 and in acting school. It is never too late.
