i dunno what he was talking about, but there are TONS of places to get started here....experience is the best way to get a start.

then there is always

Next Act
and depending on your age,
you can always work at the PAC

you may start off in the box office...but sometimes, to be a star...you gotta start at the bottom and work your way up. Get your foot in the door around the area! There are so many great places to work!
I work at ComedySportz, the improv comedy club downtown...which is a splendid avenue for theater.
