I saw it on Broadway October 2005, with Shoshana Bean as Elphaba and Ben Vereen as the Wizard. From the moment I walked into the theatre, I savoured everything! The set is fantasmagorical, the music divine with several goosebump inducing moments. Who would have thought an entire audience would sympathise with The Wicked Witch Of The West? But that is exactly what happens. If you can't get to the show, the book of Wicked by Gregory Maguire is awesome. The musical and the book aren't identical though, but the general gist is the same. And there's a sequel to Wicked as well, called Son of a Witch - also a fabulous read.

i have not seen it yet...but the books! OHMYGOD

THEBOOKSSS

I haven't personally seen it, but almost everyone I know has (yes, I do theatre). They have all loved it. Some of my friends (who are very tough critics) thought it was was one of the best. Go see it! I have read the book (which is a bit different). It's very well written.

I saw it three times on Broadway... twice with the original cast, and once about a year later. I loved it and was pretty much obsessed with it my senior year of high school, though three years later I'm kind of over it.

It's a good musical, though. Lots of fun, lots of awesome music, and an interesting twist on a classic story.

I saw it on broadway...third row, dead center....I LOVED IT. The music is great. I have tickets to see it again in FL.

I saw it in NYC and I loved it. I thought the musical was much better than the book. It was very fun. Incredible
