It is a step back in time. The costumes, the scenery and the cinematic glory of a huge novel being brought to life in all its spectacle. It is also that story line of never knowing what you have until it is gone that grips you. Following the materialistic and caddy Scarlett through her youth into the moment where she begins to grow into a woman that still maintains her silly manipulating ways to get what she wants only to realize in the end that what she really wanted the entire time was her husband and she just didn't know it.

The actors, all of them were sublime. Perfectly cast. Every single character is portrayed so beautifully that no one else could ever portray those characters. Vivian Leigh was just brilliant as Scarlett. If anyone else were to try to portray her it would be as big of a disgrace as someone trying to play one of Catherine Deneuve's roles. It just shouldn't be done.

I love the costumes, the characters, and the grandeur of the movie. It is one of the best movies of all time.

The very strong internal drive or guts of Scarlett to overcome all but showing that such action comes at a price, in this case her lost love Brett.

GWTW is one of my favorite movies of all time. The chemistry, not to mention electricity between Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh is what makes the film so enjoyable for me.
