My agent comming with me? wierd...?

Question:Okay so i got the part of this new kids show. And it's being filmed in the carribbean. And so I have to have a supervisor come with me. And i was hoping one of my parents could come but they can't. So my agent is going to have to come with me. Is that wierd?

It seems pretty inocent. It's good that you have an adult with you. Do a backround check on them and keep in contact with your parents everyday. Talk to your parents, if your parents trust them it's a pretty good indication that their an ok person, but keep your eyes open. If anything weird happens call your parents right away. There is no reason a parent can't come along, unless they're busy working and can't take time off. I think it IS a little weird, sorry to say.... But it could be a common practice. I've been shuttled by mentors and asked to spend the night at their houses when I was in writing groups as a teen. It seemed normal to them, but odd to my parents. It should be fine though, just watch yourself. Good luck.

Yes, it is weird. Because your agent will not be able to make any money during the entire time you're being chaperoned, which is why I'm surprised the agent would be willing to do it. Why your agent, and not another relative or guardian?

It's also weird because it would be an extremely cold day in hell before I'd let my minor child leave the country and the jurisdiction thereof without me, or another parent I knew well and absolutely trusted, right next to her at all times.

Hopefully your parents have investigated this thoroughly enough to be sure you are not actually being flown to the Carribean to make porn movies against your will. Good luck.
