relax, it's no big deal, i swear!
take your time when you read, if you stumble over a word here or there it's no big deal. stand with poise, and radiate confidence. your mistakes are never as big as you seem to think they are, most likely they won't be caught if you just keep going. take a deep breath right before you start, and then just go with it. the more you think about it, the more you'll freak yourself out.

aww hun, just dont worry about it!
i am an actress, but i am a VERY shy person
just think, they will respect you MUCH more if you say the essay with confidence. if you go up there and act all shy, THEN they will more likely not like it.
good luck, and as nike says, JUST DO IT!
good luck good luck goooddd luuuuck!!! xoxo lol

I'm an actress too but when it comes to getting up infront of an audience im not that great. So take deeeeep breaths and just read that essay!!
They wouldn't say anything if you messed up!! whyy thats so dumb! lol. Just go for it!Good luck!!
xoxo

DO NOT think of them in their underwear! LOL

Remember: they WANT to like you! If they did not, they would be somewhere else.

Relax, take three deep breaths, smile, and OWN that stage.

Know your lines. Look out, and see the faces. Talk to them as if they were in your living room. Tell them the story. They want to hear it.

Everyone loves a story. Tell them.

for me, i have the same problem and i still do. frankly my trick may sound a little crazy but it works for me. i usually visualize my audience when i'm up on stage and i would say my lines.(out loud sometimes) you may still feel nervous for the first few minutes but it usually goes off after awhile. i use some of the tips from this website.

i hoped i've helped, and good luck.
