Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Actors: can you tell me what you do different when you act on TV or act on the s

Heather got some of it right. In film (or TV), the face rather than the body requires more attention to detail. Not that either disappears in either situation, but in film you must express more subtly than in theater. Also, a difference rests in angles, as in one (TV) your portrayal of the character is to a recording screen, and in the other, to a live audience.

i've only ever performed on stage but i can tell just by watching the difference between the two that acting on stage you have to be louder, and you exaggerate your words and actions a bit more.

Well after what I have heard stage requires a lot larger acting (like big gestures) than tv and movie that requieres smaller acting, and a more precise and detalied acting since the camera can get so close. Johan
